EXCITING NEW developments for in-house AutoCAD based steel detailing software- and exporting to the Ocean Avenger

Ocean Machinery is proud to announce that it has partnered with Bentley - the North American representatives of the powerful ProSteel 3-D Steel Detailing Software, to create an exceptionally powerful solution for fabricators who are using AutoCAD in their steel detailing program.

ProSteel 3-D steel detailing software runs within the AutoCAD graphics engine, and has been refined to the point where it can output the critical DSTV files that the Avenger needs. Since this software only costs $7,500, it is being adopted very rapidly by small-to-medium fabricators around the world for direct-to-CNC-machine applications. It is also much easier to learn for a detailer who is familiar with AutoCAD and the learning curve is much faster. A comparable fully loaded license from the major steel detailing software providers costs between $30,000 and $40,000 per seat.

The affordable $7,500 price tag is for a fully loaded system that incorporates the following features.. Features Exceptionally simple yet sophisticated steel detailing software. It will easily handle the simplest of steel structures, yet is powerful enough to detail the most complex of structures Full 3-D modeling capability - move one component and the entire framework automatically resizes and regenerates drawings for all the affected parts. It also automatically updates your bill of materials, cut list etc. Complete engineering package - with direct export to design analysis software if needed

Bill of Materials for the entire project including beams, columns, joists, base plates, stiffeners, gussets etc. (even a bolt count) - this BOM form is customizable into individual parts, assemblies etc. and can be exported directly to Excel so you can send it to your vendors and steel supply house for rapid costing and material supply. Full Cut List for your steel merchant

• Auto Connects all connections using standard connections or user defined connections

• Easy detailing of all connections including stiffeners, gussets, moment connections, shear plates, base plates and cap plates. Software learns your standard connections and can auto-connect using your standardized approach

Ocean Machinery has met with several Avenger customers that are detailing very successfully in ProSteel 3-D, and we are happy to report that several of our US Avenger customers have recently adopted ProSteel 3D for their in-house steel detailing.
